Celebrate New Year without firecrackers



2010 is now coming and we must observe celebrating New Year without incurring any firecracker related injuries.


DOH is now working hard on their advocacy "Oplan : Iwas Paputok"

DOH said 59 percent of the victims experienced blast cases without amputation, 13 percent were blast injuries with amputation. On the other hand, 24 or 28 percent suffered eye injuries due to firecrackers use.

It was also reported that those who were affected were age groups from 11 to 20 years in which, most of them were males...

FYI: DOH added that the top five firecrackers that causes injuries were camara, trirangulo, pikulo, homemade and unknown...
